About This Recipe:
This flatbread combo is probably my favorite to exist, and is something that I have ordered at restaurants and bars many times. However, it is so easy to make that I am surprised it took me this long to recreate it at home. It’s as easy as baking pre-made dough, and then layering ingredients on top! You can definitely make your own pizza dough or balsamic glaze, but I just used store bought ones to make this in a cinch. Adding sliced figs, fresh basil, or a simple mustard vinaigrette would also be delicious things to add!
Enjoy!
Ingredients (4 servings)
-12 oz pizza dough
-1/4 tsp dried basil
-1/4 tsp dried oregano
-2 oz baby arugula
-6 slices prosciutto
-4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
-2 tbls balsamic glaze
-Olive oil
-Salt and pepper
Instructions (20 minutes)
1. On a large, parchment lined baking sheet, roll out the pizza dough to create a thin crust. Drizzle with two tbls of olive oil, and evenly sprinkle the dried basil and oregano on top. Bake as directed (about 425 degrees for 14 minutes) and let cool.
2. Season the arugula with olive oil, and salt and pepper. Layer the arugula on the top of the crust, followed by the prosciutto, and crumbled goat cheese. Finish with a drizzle of the balsamic glaze.
